Patrice Evra is a huge admirer of compatriot Paul Pogba, who could be in line to make his first start for United against Crystal Palace this week.
Evra revealed he often gives advice to his younger colleague and believes the talented 18-year-old midfielder could go on to be better than former Arsenal great Patrick Vieira.
"I talk to Paul a lot, as a fellow Frenchman, and I give him advice," Evra said.
"He has so much talent. A lot of people compare him to Patrick Vieira and, though I have huge respect for Vieira, I think Pogba can do even better.
"I tell him every day to work hard because his moment is going to come, his future is here."
Sir Alex Ferguson earlier confirmed that he is considering picking the former Le Havre man in his starting XI for Wednesday’s Carling Cup quarter-final.
"The only area where I've got problems is centre-midfield," said the Reds boss. "It's possible I could play Pogba in there but we'll wait and see."
